Play with Gravity is a unique motorcycle show based off the sport of mototrials. Despite the sport being well over 100 years old, it has sadly been very under promoted in the United States, which is where our mission starts to further promote and showcase the sport we love.

Play with Gravity started in 2003 as a way to promote a national event in our hometown of Casper, WY. After seeing the amazing response we were getting at various events, we decided to keep going with the shows. Hundreds of thousands of miles traveled, and hundreds of thousands of smiles later, we are still doing our best to promote the sport we love and entertain the masses while we are at it.

Shad Petersen

Shad Petersen started riding motorcycles in 2001 at 15 years old. In the spring of 2002, he met some local trials riders that convinced him to go ride a mototrials competition near his hometown of Casper, WY. He got hooked! Upon doing a few shows to promote a national round in 2003, Shad, along with Jon Fankhauser, decided that there was a market for these shows and there was certainly money to be made in order to further support their efforts to ride nationals. This was the birth of Play with Gravity. Shad started in the High School class for 2003 and 2004, rode Sportsman in 2005, then Expert-Sportsman in 2006. At the last two rounds in 2006, Shad moved up to Expert and was able to compete in his first World Championship rounds held in Tennessee. During this entire time, PWG was starting to build a reputation of being one of the most amazing and unique touring acts in the region. It was in 2009 that Shad decided to try the national Pro class, finishing 7th in his rookie year. Since then, Shad has finished 8th in 2010 as well as 2011. Shad also still continues to tour with Play with Gravity, performing shows that continue to amaze people one town at a time.
Andrew Older

Andrew Older

Andrew Oldar got his start in the sport of Mototrials when he was only 7 years old when his father, Mark Oldar, fixed up an old Yamaha TY 80 that had been sitting in their garage for years. Andrew rode mostly local trials for the next several years until 2004 when he was signed to RYP/Sherco to ride a 125. Andrew won a youth championship title in '04 and '05 as well as winning the Expert 125 National Championship in 2008. Andrew moved to a 290 model in 09, and went on to make his national Pro-class debut in 2010, in which he finished 6th. Andrew also competed in 2011, finishing 7th in the process. As for 2012, Andrew plans to continue his run in the national Mototrial championship as well as performing a busy schedule doing shows for Play with Gravity. 2012 will be his first season with PWG.
